Our Drive to Zero services support across 3 key pillars
1. Suitability assessments
We help fleet owners understand their options and support their transition pathway towards a net zero fleet while also fitting with their mobility requirements.
Our Drive to Zero Hub gives customers access to an interface where they can analyse their vehicle data and conduct driver surveys to determine EV suitability.
2. Fleet Solutions
Every fleet requirement is different and so we offer a range of e-LCVs and more recently micro-mobility e-vehicles. We also educate customers around alternative, low-carbon emitting fuels or better vehicle utilisation to support a lower carbon footprint, and offer guidance including driver training to customers.
Our EV open days have been a great way for customers to get hands-on experience the range of options open to them, and talk with experts who can help tailor solutions to best achieve their e-mobility requirements.
3. Charging solutions
We have the in-house expertise and capabilities to work with customers to both design and install charging solutions that meet their business requirements, whether it be domestic, commercial or public charging needs. In both the UK and Spain we are well underway with programmes rolling out charging infrastructure across the majority of our branches.
We also provide guidance on managing the complex dynamics of public charging, online apps and billing systems, and in Spain, strategic agreements with leading utilities for preferential rates for green energy supply.

4. In-life support
We build deep relationships with our customers which are crucial in providing support across their business activities. We have ensured our workshops have the right tools and our technicians have the appropriate skills, knowledge and training to support and service all aspects of the vehicles and infrastructure needed for a decarbonising fleet.
This extends to the vehicle aftermarket, where in Spain we provide guidance and dedicated support to customers considering acquiring a used e-vehicle.

Policy engagement
Through our board level representation on UK and Spanish industry bodies, BVRLA and AEDIVE, we are engaging with Government departments, providing insight into the most effective methods to drive decarbonisation, through focus areas, legislation and taxation mechanisms. These have been acknowledged to help shape policy decisions, such as longer term clarity on UK vehicle tax rates. Our public affairs involvement also includes supporting initiatives such as the BVLRA’s Van Plan papers, extension of the UK Plug-In Van Grant by two years, and the Spanish ‘Neutral in Motion’ manifesto across industry associations such as AEDIVE, AER, Feneval and Ganvam.
In February 2024, the Zero Emission Van Plan 2024 was launched, in Speaker’s Court in Parliament, focusing on three key asks – fiscal support, charging infrastructure and regulatory barriers for eLCVs. These targeted asks will benefit our customers with more consistent and commercially viable vehicle costs, wider, faster & more reliable charging capability, and a greater range of eLCVs to choose from.
As a director of BVRLA, our Fleet Director has ensured commercial vehicle issues are at the forefront of its agenda, and policymakers, regulators and key stakeholders are aware of the most effective ways to support and drive decarbonisation, with commercial vehicles now being one of its top 3 focal points.
Internally, across geographies we have dedicated task forces focused on developing innovative ways to communicate with customers about how they can work towards a net zero fleet; providing guidance and thought leadership.
Monitoring technology developments
Vehicle Development
We know that one of our biggest blockers to customers taking Electric Vehicles is that the vehicle cannot deliver to operational requirement. Our customers are not able to have operational downtime through charging. eLCVs in particular are often a couple of years behind the car market for technology advances. It is encouraging to see technology developing around solid-state batteries and the concepts of battery swaps or range enhances. All these will make the transition to EVs easier for our customers, and it is a key area that we continue to track and work with manufacturers on.
Charging Management
The adoption of EVs is pushing the requirement for software to play a leading role. Our customers need to feel confident that they can reimburse their employees for the energy used in their vehicles, whether that be at home, or in public. What began as a highly fragmented landscape, is showing signs of improving with public charging networks now allowing more open payment methods and software being used to support the reimbursement. More confidence is needed by customers in this space though and the user experience and set up of these, at times, complicated platforms needs improving – we again continue to work with leading partners in this space but are driving them for more.
Alternative Fuels Adopting EVs is a route to trying to solve the problem of decarbonisation, but it is not the only way. We continue to keep close to the development around hydrogen, which whilst still very much in its infancy is beginning to show signs of progression. We recognise for many fleets, that given the mileage driven, adoption to EVs is simply not a viable solution. Alternative fuels continue to be a credible alternative and we remain interested in the development that continues in this space.
